It's the busiest time of the year...

Ok...so we made it back from Orlando and we enjoyed every minute we shared with everyone. It was so good to be home with family and friends. It was a long drive but somehow Brien and I managed it.
I am in the home stretch with school for this semester. Finals are next week and luckily I don't have really any finals to stress over. Yeah!!
Yesterday, Brien and I celebrated our 12th anniversary. Wow, I can't believe I have put up with that man for so long. LOL. Just kidding. I love him very much.
News about our house...we should be finding out a closing date within this next week. I will let you all know just as soon as I know.
Hunter had his kickball game this past Saturday and once again, it was so cute to see all these kids run after the ball and run to the bases. This time around Hunter's "girlfriend" was playing kickball. They are soo cute together. Here is a picture of the two of them. You decide. Her name is Emily.

Well, that is about it for now. Hope all is well with everyone.

One week away...

Well, we have come to the time where it is one week away from us being in Florida. Hopefully, I will be feeling better by than and have shaked off whatever it is I have caught. The crazy weather changes doesn't help either.
The kids are doing well and are excited to see everyone in Florida. We will see how they feel after the long drive we take. LOL.
I drove out to our house today and have to share this bit of news....WE HAVE A MAILBOX!!! I'm so excited. All that I have ever known since marrying Brien is a community mailbox. I am so looking forward to having my mail right outside my house. He is a picture of it. You can click on the picture to see it up close. Then just hit backspace to return to the blog.
Also you can see by the picture that our driveway is done also. We have a road based driveway, then concrete into the garage and the sidewalk up to the front of the house.
Inside, they have started to put the trim in and now we are waiting for the cabinets. Then they will probably finish the trim and then painters will be soon. Once the cabinets are 100% done then we should find out our closing date. Very exciting but also very stressful.
Well, that is all for now. Got to get to bed now since the medicine is kicking in and I'm getting sleepy. LOL. Can't wait to see everyone...won't be too much longer now.
Miss you all.

Craziness....

That is the word for the day, week, month, etc....LOL

Why? One reason, I have 4 weeks left in the semester and things tend to get insane at this point. Another reason, house stuff. The finished putting up all the brick on the house, drywall went up and then texturing was done just the other day. Craziness of starting to pack boxes when I can. Craziness that we will be driving down to Florida for Thanksgiving. Not only to be with family and friends, but also to get Brien's seats and interior stuff for the VW bug that Brien is going to restore. The most craziness thing about our trip is the fact that we will be bringing along not only the 2 weird children we have but also the 3, yes 3, dogs that I own. LOL. It will make for an interesting car ride.

Halloween came and went. We carved pumpkins of course. One was Darth Vadar that required etching more so than carving and Brien handled it nicely. The other was Tow Mater and I took care of that carving. We had a smaller pumpkin and I used my Mickey Mouse pumpkin cutter to make Mickey heads all over. Tyler was Boba Fett and Hunter Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars. Although, when we went trick or treating, if you watched Hunter from behind, you would think he was more of a Jawa instead of Obi Wan. The only thing that kept him from looking like a Jawa was the light saber. Pictures on our my web albums and here is the link to it. Also if you look on the folder marked house pictures, you will find updated pictures of the house. http://picasaweb.google.com/dalspots4u/Halloween?authkey=_0_VbvgmGdo

Well, need to head off and get Tyler ready for Cub Scouts. Hope all is well and look forward to seeing those that we can during Thanksgiving. Miss you all.

Snowball

Ok, for all of you who know that one of my classes this semester involves training a rat to push a bar, well here she is. Her name is Snowball and she is soo cute. I got to run my first experiment with her this past Sunday after camping and she did great. She is one smart rat. It didn't take her long to learn to press down on a bar in order to get a food pellet. I am hoping that the rest of my experiments with her go so well.
Anyhow, off to school. I'll write again later and give updates on the camping trip this past weekend, our house and the family. Love to all.

It's beginning to feel like fall....

The temperatures around here have been so nice lately you feel fall/winter knocking on our door. We started the week with a rainy, cold Monday with temperatures never getting out of the 50's. As the week went on, the temperature got a bit warmer with highs in the lower 70's upper 60's but the lows remaining in the upper 40's to lower 50's. It is been nice. I really like this weather.

Well, for an update on our house. Yesterday, Brien and I had to get up very early in order to view the stain for the concrete floors since they were going to be staining during the day. So, we got the kids up and headed out at 6:30 in the morning. The stain looked good and we gave the go ahead with staining. Later that morning, Danny, who is the builder, called to make sure that the stain was alright and I told him yes. Brien came home last night and informed me that they stained the entire house and would be sealing it the rest of the week. He was told while he was out there that they were planning on start putting in the dry walls up on Monday. It feels like this house will be ready in no time. I am just hoping that I am not trying to move during Christmas, it would make for a very stressful holiday.

Now onto the boys. Hunter finished t-ball and is now signed up for kick ball. I found out that he was upset yesterday when he couldn't go to kickball since he wasn't signed up. He told me this morning not to forget to sign him up so he can go to kickball. Tyler is doing well. He brought home his report card last night and I am happy to report that he made straight A's and now I owe him $10 since I told him that he would get $10 if he made straight A's. He is still very much involved in cub scouts and this weekend we are heading out to go camping. So, if you try reaching us by email or phone, we will get back to you Sunday when we return.

School is going alright for me. It isn't very easy. One class in particular is a bit difficult but I am hoping to finish with at best a C. He isn't the greatest professor but he is one of two who teach this class. What can you do. I start training my lab rat this weekend also. I have to teach her to press a bar in order to receive food pellets. I named her Snowball. I am going to take my camera with me on Sunday afternoon when I go to the lab to do the experiment in order to take a picture of her. I'll post that when I get the chance.

That's it for now. Hope all is well with everyone. Talk to you all soon.

It's Sunday....

Well, it is Sunday morning and Brien is back at the house working on getting all the a/c stuff put in. Yesterday he got some of it done. Here is the link for the house photos. http://picasaweb.google.com/dalspots4u/HousePhotos?authkey=GgefV8I9SIE

T-ball was good yesterday although I think most of the kids were done after about 45 minutes of play. He played for the entire time. Originally, it was supposed to be 3 games, each 35 minutes but some of the green team didn't show up so they had to move some people around. Then since the kids were done, I think they decided that everyone had batted and caught the ball enough times that they were done. Here is the link for the t-ball game photos. http://picasaweb.google.com/dalspots4u/TBallGame?authkey=rljkFpipoUM

I can't believe how big my girls are getting. For those who don't know, I adopted 2 female dalmatian puppies from a rescue a few months ago. They were about 4-5 months of age and had been found wondering this street which I was told had been known for dog/puppy dumping. When I met them, they reminded me so much of Lady that I couldn't bear the thought of breaking the two of them up so Brien let me adopt both of them. At first, Wilson didn't want anything to do with them since he was now king of the castle but he has soften up and now plays with both of them. So I went from having just one to now having 3. I love it. Here is the link to their album. http://picasaweb.google.com/dalspots4u/Girls?authkey=2GIMl8nyzpo

I am putting together a web album for you all to be able to see the photos of everything. I decided that it would easier to see photos that way instead of this blog but I will occassionally put photos on here. I'm just not sure how many photos I am allowed to have on here.

Well, off to the store. Need to go grocery shopping. Hope all is well with everyone. Talk to you all soon.

It's Saturday morning....

It's Saturday and today is the day for Hunter's first t-ball game. I can't wait to see my little munchkin playing. Of course, I'll be taking my camera so that I can take pictures and share with all of you. I also will be taking more pictures of my house while Brien works putting in the a/c stuff. The house is coming along nicely. As of yesterday, they had the shingles on. Everything looks right on track for us to move in after the new year. Well, off for now....need to get the kiddos ready to go. Look for another post later on with pictures.
